Beth Lebowitz

Founder + CEO

Beth Lebowitz is the CEO + founder of Nimbus Legal, legal designed for business.

With Nimbus Legal, I am creating an innovative solution for growth stage and mid-market companies by offering outsourced strategic general counsel services on a flat monthly fee subscription basis. My “why” is to give companies the tools for the intelligent consumption of legal services and to provide value.

I am currently General Counsel for several companies in the technology and professional services industries, including two innovative leaders in the Ed-tech industry: Parchment Inc. and CampusLogic, Inc.

I started my practice advising entrepreneurs and businesses on corporate and securities matters, including M&A transactions and private placements, helping launch several companies through seed and Series A rounds. A writer at heart, I love working with entrepreneurs and innovative businesses, helping them tell the story of their idea through growth.

Nimbus Legal was born from an idea rooted in the needs of fast-growing companies reaching middle market stage: quick, proactive, practical, and efficient legal services on a transparent flat fee subscription basis. An outsourced General Counsel is a strategic resource for companies, utilizing existing company resources and technology to manage consumption of legal services.

As an outsourced GC, I am involved in the day-to-day business decisions of my clients, providing proactive and real-time advice on operational, sales, and strategic risk management decisions. I work with companies to create processes for, negotiate, and manage customer and vendor contracts, corporate governance, equity issuance and management, in addition to assisting outside counsel with IP, M&A, and HR/employment matters.

I attended law school at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, at ASU, graduating magna cum laude. Originally from the Washington D.C. area, I attended Tulane University in New Orleans for undergrad and return to the city each year for the music and food, and I also lived briefly in London while working in politics and media. I love brainstorming with friends, reading and collecting books, old blues records, spa days, food and wine with stimulating conversation, traveling for new adventures, and spending time with my husband and daughter.
